Posted on Tiffany HathawayApril 13, 2026 Master Attic remediated a bat issue for us back in October and I can't say enough about what a wonderful job they did. The work was guaranteed and they encouraged us to call if we say any further evidence of bats. Well, there were a few droppings in the attic and they quickly responded to our concerns. Jose's crew came out on a SUNDAY, inspected the attic, and sealed up several spots that could be entry points. They were professional, efficient, and kind. I would highly recommend them. You will not be disappointed.Posted on Paresh patelApril 6, 2026 Robert and his team, came on time and finished the work on time. They were not in a rush to leave. I give them a 100 % satisfaction rating . Highly recommend this companyPosted on Salwa ShokryApril 1, 2026 I recommend master attic …one day amazing job…they are the best team…take off all the old insulation ..(pest control)clean and sealed and reinstall a new insulation …very cleanPosted on Lynn AloffMarch 28, 2026 This was a very pleasant experience. The entire cycle from estimate to finish went very smoothly. Great communication from the entire team. What's really impressive they sent a large crew at one time and completed the work efficiently and expeditiously. Of course when the job was finished very noticeable difference in the level of quiet and heat retention. Their pricing was very fair and there was none of the little expensive add on(s) that other company estimates had given me.Posted on Anna WaddyMarch 9, 2026 I recently had the pleasure of working with the master attic team to resolve a pesky squirrel problem in my attic, and I couldn't be happier with the results! They arrived promptly and conducted a thorough inspection, pinpointing the entry point in mere seconds. Thanks to their expertise and swift action, my attic is now completely squirrel-free! A heartfelt thank you to Nicholas, David, and the entire team for their professionalism and dedication. Their friendly approach and efficient service truly made a difference, and I highly recommend them to anyone facing similar issues. No more unwelcome guests in my attic – I can finally rest easy!Posted on CelineMarch 8, 2026 What a great experience I had with this company and its employees. It started with initially interacting with Joe who came out for the estimate. He was funny because he came down from my attic and said "have you seen up there". I laughed because I had and I knew it was bad. He was no pressure and no nonsense. Gave me an estimate and said if I wanted we could have the work done next day. I wasn't ready for that but after some schedule juggling I told him we could be ready. Joe had his guys out next morning with the best part being Jorge calling me to advise he was about thirty minutes out. I appreciate when I am given a heads up as to ETA. Three of them arrived Jorge set out plastic and covered exposed furniture. Jorge, Angel and Gonzalo were all polite and worked hard to complete the task. They worked efficiently and were done quickly. Jorge made sure he included me in each step of the process and when I saw the finished product I was amazed. I can actually use my attic for storage if I choose to do so. I did not realize when they were here that they also do work on crawlspace areas. I will be calling them back to see what they can do for my crawlspace which easily rivals the diasaster called my attic. I recommend at least giving this company and its employees an opportunity to help you.Posted on C SzovatiMarch 5, 2026 The staff was courteous, professional thorough and communicated well. I couldn't have asked for better service.Posted on Xcpher CalabreseFebruary 24, 2026 A JOB WELL DONE! IN DEC WE HAD A RACCOON IN MY MOM'S ATTIC THAT MADE ITS' HOME FOR THE WINTER. AFTER 2-3 WEEKS DEALING WITH TERMINIX (AND THEIR 2 WAY DOOR). WE REACHED OUT TO MASTER ATTIC. ROB CAME GAVE US A WRITTEN ESTIMATE DETAILED THE PROCESS AND WORK. HIS CREW JOSE AND 2 OTHER MEN CAME ON A FRIDAY AM AND BEGAN THE TASK OF REMOVING ALL THE INSULATION. THE BIGGEST CHALLENGE WAS GETTING THE RACCOON. THIS BUGGER WAS DETERMINED TO REMAIN IN THE ATTIC, SO IT JUMP INBETWEEN THE WALLS. I'M LIKE NOW WHAT SHOOT IT? JOSE AND HIS CREW WERE ABLE TO FISH IT OUT. CONTINUED THE WORK CLEAN ALL THE POOP AND MESS THE RACCOON MADE. THEY COVERED THE VEST WITH STAINLESS STEEL MESH AND THE VENT ON THE ROOF. JOB WAS COMPLETED BY 3 PM. ROB RETURNED AND DID A WALK THROUGH. WORD TO THE WISE HAVE YOUR HOUSE INSPECTED FOR OPENINGS AND AVOID THE COST. THANKS AGAIN TO MASTER ATTIC AND THE MEN WHO WORKED INSIDE AN ATTIC CRAWLING AROUND A SMALL SPACE CHASING A RACCOON.Posted on Phillip DiBelloFebruary 10, 2026 Master Attic did a fantastic job cleaning our crawl space & attic, ridding the areas of rodent contamination and entry. The initial visit by Dave provided detailed info identifying the areas of need. Jose's crew arrived on time, started with draping of plastic to protect our walls & floor & removed all the contaminated insulation. All was well done, no mess or clean up. Jose performed all the foundation sealing & rodent blockage the house required. He showed me the points of entry and the solutions applied to each. I would definitely recommend the crew from Master Attic if you have an infestation you want cleared.

Answers to the questions we hear most from NJ homeowners.
Most NJ homes cost between $1,500–$3,500 depending on attic size, current insulation levels, and material choice (cellulose vs. fiberglass). If old insulation removal is needed, that’s quoted separately. We provide free estimates with exact pricing before any work begins — no surprises.
Cellulose: Made of recycled paper treated for fire resistance. It has a higher R-value (insulating power) per inch and is better at blocking air leaks and sound.
Fiberglass: Made of spun glass. It’s naturally fire-resistant, doesn’t settle as much over time, and is generally more moisture-resistant than cellulose.
The old material is moldy or water-damaged.
There is a history of rodent infestation (to remove droppings/pheromones).
You want to perform “air sealing” (plugging holes where wire/pipes go into walls) before adding new layers.
Sealing entry points with steel wool or hardware cloth.
Sanitizing the area if there was a previous infestation.
Using borate-treated cellulose, which acts as a natural deterrent to many pests.
Under ideal conditions, it can last 20 to 30 years. However, its effectiveness can decrease if it settles significantly or gets compressed. Fiberglass tends to stay “fluffy” longer, while cellulose may settle by about 20% over a decade, slightly reducing its R-value.
Blown-in is almost always better for attics. * Batts (the big blankets) are hard to fit around joists and wires, leaving “thermal bridges” where heat escapes.
Blown-in creates a seamless monolithic layer that fills every nook and cranny, providing much better coverage.
For a standard NJ attic (approx. 1,000–1,500 sq. ft.), the actual blowing process usually takes 2 to 4 hours. If you include prep work and old insulation removal, it can become a full-day job (6–8 hours).
