Master Attic did a phenomenal job with our attic insulation and duct replacement. We had a loss from smoke damage from a neighboring fire and we were met with compassion and excellent customer service from Danny Jones and Jorge Diaz. We chose them for their quality of work, expertise and fair pricing and they got the job done promptly. Thank you for the excellent work and we will be recommending you highly!

How We Insulate an Attic in Medford Lakes
Attic insulation in Medford Lakes starts with what kind of roofline is actually up there. Some of the borough's original cedar log cabins have their ceiling boards nailed directly to the underside of the rafters, skipping a flat attic floor entirely, while others, including the houses added to the colony in later decades, sit under a conventional attic with a floor you can actually walk across. Master Attic reads the framing first, because it decides everything that follows.
Where a flat attic exists, we measure the depth and condition of whatever insulation is already up there, check the soffit and ridge venting, and look for the gaps around log-to-roof transitions, chimney chases and old wiring runs where warm air is escaping. Where the ceiling follows the rafters instead, the approach shifts to batts fitted between the rafter bays with a clear air gap held open to the roof deck, since loose fill has nowhere flat to sit.
The estimate that comes out of that walk-through is free and written, and it spells out what the specific attic or roofline needs and why, whether that means adding depth over existing material, sealing gaps first, or removing insulation that a previous season's wildlife left behind. What a particular cabin needs is decided on site, not guessed at ahead of time.
What We Install in Medford Lakes Attics
Six ways to bring a Medford Lakes attic or rafter-line roofline current, and every job on this list opens with a free inspection.
What We Find in Medford Lakes Attics
Walk into most Medford Lakes attics and you'll run into one of these four things.
Many of the cabins built here between the 1920s and the 1950s still carry whatever depth went in when they were converted for year-round living, a fraction of what a Burlington County attic is expected to hold now.
Oak and pine limbs grow close enough to most lake lots that a squirrel or raccoon can step straight from a branch onto the roof, and a soft spot in old chinking near the eave line is usually all the opening either one needs.
Freeze and thaw trade places through a Burlington County January more often than a steady cold snap would, and heat slipping through a thin cabin ceiling softens the underside of the snowpack, which refreezes right where the low colony rooflines meet the eave.
A cabin attic hatch is often smaller and harder to reach than a colonial's pull-down stair, and where the ceiling follows the rafters there is no flat floor to stage equipment on, which changes how the job gets planned from the start.

We just had our attic insulation replaced, and the entire experience was pleasant from start to finish. Robert is knowledgeable, honest and easy to work with at the initial estimate period. Roberta and his crew did a great job replacing the attic insulation for our house. They were very professional, efficient and respectful. They did everything that needed to be done and left the space clean and in excellent condition. I am very happy that I chose Master Attic and would highly recommend them.
Dan Jones and the Ronald crew did a great job from start to finish! I had original insulation in my attic with no electricity, not an easy job. Our upstairs was very hot in the summer and cold in winter. With having central air, we still needed AC units and space heaters to manage. Dan set up a great plan to eliminate that. He and his crew were able to come and finish the job shortly after we first met. They were quick, clean and managed to crawl into small spaces to remove old insulation and install fresh insulation. We have already noticed a major difference! Highly recommended!!
We hired Master Attic to clean out debris, mice, old insulation, and replace with new insulation in both our attic spaces. Roberto and his crew did a phenomenal job. They were extremely professional, polite, and did a fantastic job. They invited my husband to see the attic after each step, and took pictures on their phone to show me since I could not get up in the attic. They took the time to protect the space with plastic sheeting before the job up in the attic, and then cleaned up everything perfectly afterwards. I highly recommend them!
Great job by the team. Cleaned out the entire attic and replaced all the old insulation with new fresh insulation. Made a huge difference. Alex was great to work with and was very professional. Would highly recommend.
Awesome experience from start to finish. Rob provided a great assessment and capabilities overview, arrived on time and was very generous and thorough in explaining the work. I signed on the spot. A crew of six arrived (again, on time) and completely transformed our attic space - thoroughly cleaned out the old insulation (looked spotless afterwards), sanitized the space, sealed it/rodent proofed it, added baffles and of course, replaced the insulation and added more in areas that needed it. Completed the whole job in half a day and we are delighted with the result. Thank you, Master Attic team, for a job very well done! Highest recommendation.
What a great experience I had with this company and its employees. It started with initially interacting with Joe who came out for the estimate. He was funny because he came down from my attic and said "have you seen up there". I laughed because I had and I knew it was bad. He was no pressure and no nonsense. Gave me an estimate and said if I wanted we could have the work done next day. I wasn't ready for that but after some schedule juggling I told him we could be ready. Joe had his guys out next morning with the best part being Jorge calling me to advise he was about thirty minutes out. I appreciate when I am given a heads up as to ETA. Three of them arrived Jorge set out plastic and covered exposed furniture. Jorge, Angel and Gonzalo were all polite and worked hard to complete the task. They worked efficiently and were done quickly. Jorge made sure he included me in each step of the process and when I saw the finished product I was amazed. I can actually use my attic for storage if I choose to do so. I did not realize when they were here that they also do work on crawlspace areas. I will be calling them back to see what they can do for my crawlspace which easily rivals the diasaster called my attic. I recommend at least giving this company and its employees an opportunity to help you.
Great company to work with. From beginning to end, Dan came out, spent plenty of time with me going over everything that needed to be done, and the process of everything that needed to be updated it both attics. His professionalism was top notch, answered all my question and concerns. When it came time for George and his six-man crew to do the work their quality of workmanship was well above average, they were here the whole day, and I don't think they even had a lunch break (hopefully I don't get him in trouble). They all worked and everyone knew what their job was, they removed all the insulation, cleaned, spray foamed all holes and top plates, re-insulated both attics and cleaned up like they weren't even here. Will definitely use them again.
Master Attic remediated a bat issue for us back in October and I can’t say enough about what a wonderful job they did. The work was guaranteed and they encouraged us to call if we say any further evidence of bats. Well, there were a few droppings in the attic and they quickly responded to our concerns. Jose’s crew came out on a SUNDAY, inspected the attic, and sealed up several spots that could be entry points. They were professional, efficient, and kind. I would highly recommend them. You will not be disappointed.
Attic Insulation in Medford Lakes: Questions We Get
What kind of attic does a Medford Lakes log cabin actually have?
It depends on when the cabin was built and whether it was ever expanded. Many of the original 1920s and 1930s cabins have a ceiling nailed to the rafters with no flat floor above it, while cabins converted or added onto later often have a conventional attic. We identify which one we're working with before recommending anything.
What affects the schedule for an attic insulation job on a Medford Lakes cabin?
A few things decide it: whether the attic already has a flat floor to work from, how much old material has to come out first, and whether the roofline is a tight rafter-bay squeeze or an open floor to move around in. The exact timeline for a particular cabin comes with the written estimate.
Are there New Jersey incentives that help with attic insulation in Medford Lakes?
PSE&G powers this stretch of Burlington County, and insulation upgrades have qualified for support before through what it offers alongside New Jersey's broader efficiency push, so it's worth checking what's currently active. Bring it up at your inspection and we'll flag whatever applies to that particular attic.
Will attic work change how a historic Medford Lakes cabin looks from outside?
No. Every part of this job happens between the rafters or across the attic floor, never on the log walls, the chinking or the trim you see from the trail. A cabin gets brought up to today's insulation standard without touching a single detail of what makes it recognizable from outside.
How do you decide what a specific attic needs?
We walk the attic or roofline in person and check the framing type, the existing insulation's depth and condition, where air is escaping, and whether the venting is working the way it should. That specific walkthrough, not a general rule for the whole borough, is what shapes the written estimate.
For a cabin like mine, is it possible to add new insulation over what's already there?
Sometimes. Dry material that hasn't been contaminated can often be topped instead of pulled out first. It needs to come out ahead of anything new when it's wet, when wildlife has nested in it, or when it's covering gaps around chimney chases or old wiring that still need sealing, which shows up often in cabins carrying decades of chinking and trim wear.
Which towns around Medford Lakes does Master Attic serve?
Medford Township surrounds Medford Lakes on all sides, and we're regularly working there along with Evesham's Marlton section and Southampton Township, all in Burlington County, plus Cherry Hill just over the line in Camden County. Attic insulation is available with a free estimate anywhere in that coverage area.
My cabin was originally built as a seasonal summer place, does that matter for attic insulation now?
It can. Cabins that were winterized after starting out as seasonal cottages sometimes have attic framing or venting that was never meant to hold conditioned air year-round, and what is up there today varies from one cabin to the next. We look at the specific attic in front of us rather than assuming based on the cabin's age.
