By blocking the entry points we now avoid any rodents from moving in, in the future.
Some have the misconception that hiring an exterminator will take care of the problem completely; however, this issue cannot be addressed by simply laying traps and using other methods, such as poison, to kill the rodents. Trapping and killing them is ineffective and counterproductive to solving the issue long-term. The reason it is not an effective method is quite simple. Calling an exterminator is a quick bandage fix, with a subscription to a problem that requires a one-time, subscription-free, aggressive, and effective long-term solution. Extermination will not permanently get rid of the rodents because laying traps and using poison only kills the existing rodents; it does not prevent new ones from entering. The scent of feces in the insulation, urine, or dead rodents, and various entry points they have either chewed or squeezed their bodies through, is a continuous invitation for any future rodents seeking shelter.
Most homeowners are unaware of the risks associated with neglecting a rodent infestation. The consequences of ignoring this problem can create a toxic environment for your family. Rodents carry all sorts of germs, bacteria, and viruses and carry disease-causing parasites like fleas, ticks, lice, and mites. When they enter the attic or crawlspace, they nest and mate in the insulation, leaving toxic feces and urine behind. As well, due to their destructive nature, they puncture holes in air ducts, chew wires and cause fires, scratch holes in sheetrock, and damage gable vents and attic fans. This kind of activity can promote hazardous air quality and breathing conditions in your home. Rodents that have chewed their way into the attic or crawlspace can also allow water to enter the area, causing mold growth and fungi leading to other health hazards.
Hiring a professional rodent-proofing service can provide numerous benefits for your home’s overall health and safety. Rodents can cause extensive damage to your property and pose serious health risks to you and your family. Investing in a rodent-proofing service lets you rest easy knowing that your home is protected from these pests.
Rodent infestations are a common problem for homeowners throughout New Jersey & Pennsylvania. These pests can cause significant damage to your property, including chewing through wires and insulation, which can lead to electrical fires and increased energy bills. Rodents can also carry diseases and bacteria that can risk your family’s health, making it crucial to prevent infestations.
Professional rodent-proofing services can help you prevent these issues by identifying and sealing off entry points that rodents use to gain access to your home. This process typically involves sealing gaps around the house’s doors, windows, and other areas and installing Chicken wire mesh fencing to prevent rodents from entering.

Posted on Tiffany HathawayApril 13, 2026 Master Attic remediated a bat issue for us back in October and I can't say enough about what a wonderful job they did. The work was guaranteed and they encouraged us to call if we say any further evidence of bats. Well, there were a few droppings in the attic and they quickly responded to our concerns. Jose's crew came out on a SUNDAY, inspected the attic, and sealed up several spots that could be entry points. They were professional, efficient, and kind. I would highly recommend them. You will not be disappointed.Posted on Paresh patelApril 6, 2026 Robert and his team, came on time and finished the work on time. They were not in a rush to leave. I give them a 100 % satisfaction rating . Highly recommend this companyPosted on Salwa ShokryApril 1, 2026 I recommend master attic …one day amazing job…they are the best team…take off all the old insulation ..(pest control)clean and sealed and reinstall a new insulation …very cleanPosted on Lynn AloffMarch 28, 2026 This was a very pleasant experience. The entire cycle from estimate to finish went very smoothly. Great communication from the entire team. What's really impressive they sent a large crew at one time and completed the work efficiently and expeditiously. Of course when the job was finished very noticeable difference in the level of quiet and heat retention. Their pricing was very fair and there was none of the little expensive add on(s) that other company estimates had given me.Posted on Anna WaddyMarch 9, 2026 I recently had the pleasure of working with the master attic team to resolve a pesky squirrel problem in my attic, and I couldn't be happier with the results! They arrived promptly and conducted a thorough inspection, pinpointing the entry point in mere seconds. Thanks to their expertise and swift action, my attic is now completely squirrel-free! A heartfelt thank you to Nicholas, David, and the entire team for their professionalism and dedication. Their friendly approach and efficient service truly made a difference, and I highly recommend them to anyone facing similar issues. No more unwelcome guests in my attic – I can finally rest easy!Posted on CelineMarch 8, 2026 What a great experience I had with this company and its employees. It started with initially interacting with Joe who came out for the estimate. He was funny because he came down from my attic and said "have you seen up there". I laughed because I had and I knew it was bad. He was no pressure and no nonsense. Gave me an estimate and said if I wanted we could have the work done next day. I wasn't ready for that but after some schedule juggling I told him we could be ready. Joe had his guys out next morning with the best part being Jorge calling me to advise he was about thirty minutes out. I appreciate when I am given a heads up as to ETA. Three of them arrived Jorge set out plastic and covered exposed furniture. Jorge, Angel and Gonzalo were all polite and worked hard to complete the task. They worked efficiently and were done quickly. Jorge made sure he included me in each step of the process and when I saw the finished product I was amazed. I can actually use my attic for storage if I choose to do so. I did not realize when they were here that they also do work on crawlspace areas. I will be calling them back to see what they can do for my crawlspace which easily rivals the diasaster called my attic. I recommend at least giving this company and its employees an opportunity to help you.Posted on C SzovatiMarch 5, 2026 The staff was courteous, professional thorough and communicated well. I couldn't have asked for better service.Posted on Xcpher CalabreseFebruary 24, 2026 A JOB WELL DONE! IN DEC WE HAD A RACCOON IN MY MOM'S ATTIC THAT MADE ITS' HOME FOR THE WINTER. HIS CREW JOSE AND 2 OTHER MEN CAME ON A FRIDAY AM AND BEGAN THE TASK OF REMOVING ALL THE INSULATION. THE BIGGEST CHALLENGE WAS GETTING THE RACCOON. THIS BUGGER WAS DETERMINED TO REMAIN IN THE ATTIC, SO IT JUMP INBETWEEN THE WALLS. I'M LIKE NOW WHAT SHOOT IT? JOSE AND HIS CREW WERE ABLE TO FISH IT OUT. CONTINUED THE WORK CLEAN ALL THE POOP AND MESS THE RACCOON MADE. THEY COVERED THE VEST WITH STAINLESS STEEL MESH AND THE VENT ON THE ROOF. JOB WAS COMPLETED BY 3 PM. ROB RETURNED AND DID A WALK THROUGH. WORD TO THE WISE HAVE YOUR HOUSE INSPECTED FOR OPENINGS AND AVOID THE COST. THANKS AGAIN TO MASTER ATTIC AND THE MEN WHO WORKED INSIDE AN ATTIC CRAWLING AROUND A SMALL SPACE CHASING A RACCOON.Posted on Phillip DiBelloFebruary 10, 2026 Master Attic did a fantastic job cleaning our crawl space & attic, ridding the areas of rodent contamination and entry. The initial visit by Dave provided detailed info identifying the areas of need. Jose's crew arrived on time, started with draping of plastic to protect our walls & floor & removed all the contaminated insulation. All was well done, no mess or clean up. Jose performed all the foundation sealing & rodent blockage the house required. He showed me the points of entry and the solutions applied to each. I would definitely recommend the crew from Master Attic if you have an infestation you want cleared.

Attic rodent proofing involves identifying and sealing off any possible entry points in an attic that rodents use to gain access to your home. It also consists of eliminating conditions that attract rodents, such as food sources and shelter.
Some signs that you may need rodent proofing include the presence of droppings, gnaw marks on wood or plastic, unusual odors, and rustling or scampering sounds coming from walls or attic.
While some DIY rodent-proofing measures are available, these methods don’t address the cause of the infestation, and in most cases, the rodents will return. It’s generally best to hire a professional rodent-proofing service that can address the root of the issue.
At Master Attic, we have the expertise and tools needed to identify all potential entry points and seal them off effectively.
Materials commonly used for the rodent-proofing process are professional-grade spray foam for sealing air leak gaps & holes and chicken wire mesh fencing to completely rodent-proof any gaps the rodents use to enter the attic.
Getting your attic rodent-proofed can significantly reduce the likelihood of rodents entering your attic, but it may not completely eliminate them. Ongoing prevention measures may also be necessary, such as keeping food sources sealed and maintaining a tidy living space.
Rodent proofing measures are generally safe for pets and children. The materials used are non-toxic and pose no immediate threat to health.
The effectiveness of rodent-proofing measures can vary depending on factors such as the age and condition of the building, the severity of the rodent problem, and the diligence of ongoing prevention measures. However, if done correctly, the current rodent issues should be resolved many years into the future.
