Master Attic did a phenomenal job with our attic insulation and duct replacement. We had a loss from smoke damage from a neighboring fire and we were met with compassion and excellent customer service from Danny Jones and Jorge Diaz. We chose them for their quality of work, expertise and fair pricing and they got the job done promptly. Thank you for the excellent work and we will be recommending you highly!

How We Insulate a North Brunswick Attic
North Brunswick attics fall into two very different starting points: single-family ranches and capes near the New Brunswick line built in the 1950s and 60s, and the townhouse and new construction going up along the Main Street transit village. We open the hatch, measure what insulation is actually there today, and check for the spots where conditioned air is escaping toward the roof before recommending anything.
Sealing has to happen before the new material goes down, not after. Top plates, duct chases, and the areas around recessed lighting get air sealed first, and baffle vents keep the soffit intake clear at the eave once the new depth is added. If the existing insulation is wet, packed down, or was nested in by squirrels or mice, we pull it out and clean the attic first, then insulate over a sealed floor.
Every estimate we give is free and gets put in writing, spelling out the condition of the attic, our recommendation, and the reasoning behind it. A North Brunswick attic gets walked before we quote it, because a 1960s ranch on Maple Meade needs something different from a shared attic at Renaissance or Governors Pointe, and the inspection is what decides the plan, not a guess made over the phone.
What Attic Insulation in North Brunswick Includes
Every North Brunswick attic job starts with the same free inspection, and one or more of these six makes up what follows.
What We Find in North Brunswick Attics
Four attic conditions specific to North Brunswick that shape nearly every insulation estimate here.
Most of the single-family ranches and capes built near the New Brunswick line in the 1950s and 60s are still running the original insulation from construction, well short of what today's guidance expects for a Central Jersey attic. Bringing one up to standard usually means adding real depth, not just topping off what is there.
Mature tree canopy through the older Maple Meade and Berdines Corner blocks puts squirrels and raccoons within easy reach of the roofline, and once a soffit gap opens up they get into the insulation itself. Whatever they nested in gets pulled and the attic disinfected ahead of the new install.
Party walls connect the attics at Renaissance and Governors Pointe, so several townhouse units can end up breathing the same attic air. A leak or a patch of humidity on one side of that wall often turns into damp insulation on the other before anyone traces it back.
This part of Central Jersey rarely stays below freezing for a whole stretch of winter, and every thaw lets warm attic air melt the underside of the snow on a roof that has not been sealed. The meltwater refreezes at the cold eave, building an ice dam that traces straight back to attic air leaks.

We just had our attic insulation replaced, and the entire experience was pleasant from start to finish. Robert is knowledgeable, honest and easy to work with at the initial estimate period. Roberta and his crew did a great job replacing the attic insulation for our house. They were very professional, efficient and respectful. They did everything that needed to be done and left the space clean and in excellent condition. I am very happy that I chose Master Attic and would highly recommend them.
Dan Jones and the Ronald crew did a great job from start to finish! I had original insulation in my attic with no electricity, not an easy job. Our upstairs was very hot in the summer and cold in winter. With having central air, we still needed AC units and space heaters to manage. Dan set up a great plan to eliminate that. He and his crew were able to come and finish the job shortly after we first met. They were quick, clean and managed to crawl into small spaces to remove old insulation and install fresh insulation. We have already noticed a major difference! Highly recommended!!
We hired Master Attic to clean out debris, mice, old insulation, and replace with new insulation in both our attic spaces. Roberto and his crew did a phenomenal job. They were extremely professional, polite, and did a fantastic job. They invited my husband to see the attic after each step, and took pictures on their phone to show me since I could not get up in the attic. They took the time to protect the space with plastic sheeting before the job up in the attic, and then cleaned up everything perfectly afterwards. I highly recommend them!
Great job by the team. Cleaned out the entire attic and replaced all the old insulation with new fresh insulation. Made a huge difference. Alex was great to work with and was very professional. Would highly recommend.
Awesome experience from start to finish. Rob provided a great assessment and capabilities overview, arrived on time and was very generous and thorough in explaining the work. I signed on the spot. A crew of six arrived (again, on time) and completely transformed our attic space - thoroughly cleaned out the old insulation (looked spotless afterwards), sanitized the space, sealed it/rodent proofed it, added baffles and of course, replaced the insulation and added more in areas that needed it. Completed the whole job in half a day and we are delighted with the result. Thank you, Master Attic team, for a job very well done! Highest recommendation.
What a great experience I had with this company and its employees. It started with initially interacting with Joe who came out for the estimate. He was funny because he came down from my attic and said "have you seen up there". I laughed because I had and I knew it was bad. He was no pressure and no nonsense. Gave me an estimate and said if I wanted we could have the work done next day. I wasn't ready for that but after some schedule juggling I told him we could be ready. Joe had his guys out next morning with the best part being Jorge calling me to advise he was about thirty minutes out. I appreciate when I am given a heads up as to ETA. Three of them arrived Jorge set out plastic and covered exposed furniture. Jorge, Angel and Gonzalo were all polite and worked hard to complete the task. They worked efficiently and were done quickly. Jorge made sure he included me in each step of the process and when I saw the finished product I was amazed. I can actually use my attic for storage if I choose to do so. I did not realize when they were here that they also do work on crawlspace areas. I will be calling them back to see what they can do for my crawlspace which easily rivals the diasaster called my attic. I recommend at least giving this company and its employees an opportunity to help you.
Great company to work with. From beginning to end, Dan came out, spent plenty of time with me going over everything that needed to be done, and the process of everything that needed to be updated it both attics. His professionalism was top notch, answered all my question and concerns. When it came time for George and his six-man crew to do the work their quality of workmanship was well above average, they were here the whole day, and I don't think they even had a lunch break (hopefully I don't get him in trouble). They all worked and everyone knew what their job was, they removed all the insulation, cleaned, spray foamed all holes and top plates, re-insulated both attics and cleaned up like they weren't even here. Will definitely use them again.
Master Attic remediated a bat issue for us back in October and I can’t say enough about what a wonderful job they did. The work was guaranteed and they encouraged us to call if we say any further evidence of bats. Well, there were a few droppings in the attic and they quickly responded to our concerns. Jose’s crew came out on a SUNDAY, inspected the attic, and sealed up several spots that could be entry points. They were professional, efficient, and kind. I would highly recommend them. You will not be disappointed.
Attic Insulation in North Brunswick: Questions We Get
What does an attic insulation job usually include in North Brunswick?
Most jobs here combine two or three steps: closing up the gaps that let conditioned air escape the attic floor, adding baffles at the eave so the soffit vents keep working, and then blowing in or laying new insulation over the top. If the existing material is wet, compressed or has had rodents in it, that comes out first. The mix depends on what the attic looks like when we open the hatch.
What determines how long an attic insulation job takes in North Brunswick?
It depends on what the attic needs. Insulating over a floor that is already sealed and in good condition tends to move quicker, while removing old material, cleaning up after wildlife, or sealing several party walls in a townhouse attic adds time. Either way, you will see the timing laid out on the written estimate before the crew books anything.
Are there incentives for attic insulation in North Brunswick?
PSE&G is the utility here for both power and gas service, and upgrading insulation or sealing air leaks has, from time to time, qualified for a rebate program run through the state. Since what is offered shifts, we will flag anything currently applicable once we are out looking at your specific attic.
Does a Renaissance or Governors Pointe townhouse get insulated differently than a single-family attic?
It can be. A townhouse row shares one attic across several units, so a gap or leak on one end can affect insulation two doors down before anyone notices from inside their own unit. We start by closing off the shared walls between sections, then insulate each owner's part on its own once that boundary is sealed.
What decides how much insulation a specific North Brunswick attic actually needs?
We measure the depth that is already there, check for air leaks around the top plates and duct chases, look at how the attic vents, and note any moisture or rodent activity. What a specific attic needs, whether it is a 1960s ranch near Maple Meade or a newer unit in one of the townhouse sections, comes out of that walk-through, not a standard number applied to every house.
Do you need to remove my old insulation before adding new insulation?
It depends on condition. Dry insulation that is still in decent shape can often be topped with new material rather than pulled. Wet, compacted insulation, or insulation that squirrels or mice have nested in, gets pulled first, which happens often enough in Maple Meade and Berdines Corner, where the housing stock runs older, that we check for it on every inspection.
What other towns in Middlesex County do you serve near North Brunswick?
Milltown and New Brunswick sit right on one side of the township, South Brunswick and East Brunswick on the other, and we also reach out to Somerset and Princeton Junction a little further along. If your street is close by but not named here, call and ask, our crews cover this stretch of Central Jersey daily.
Does new construction near the Main Street transit village still need attic insulation work?
Builder-grade insulation in the newest sections along the corridor usually starts higher than what a 1950s or 60s attic has, but it does not automatically clear what today's codes and guidance now call for, and the seals around plumbing stacks, exhaust fans and recessed lighting are easy to miss during construction. A short inspection settles whether a newer attic needs anything at all.
