Master Attic did a phenomenal job with our attic insulation and duct replacement. We had a loss from smoke damage from a neighboring fire and we were met with compassion and excellent customer service from Danny Jones and Jorge Diaz. We chose them for their quality of work, expertise and fair pricing and they got the job done promptly. Thank you for the excellent work and we will be recommending you highly!

How Attic Insulation Works in Brick
An attic insulation estimate in Brick opens with a straightforward walk of the space, whatever era built it: a Cape Cod from the township's Parkway-boom years, a cottage framed on filled lagoon land back in the 1920s, or a house raised within the last few years on the mainland side of town. We note what insulation is already up there, track down where conditioned air is slipping past the ceiling plane, and turn that into a written recommendation before we order any material.
Sealing goes first. Plumbing stacks, can-light housings, the attic hatch and duct chases get closed off, baffle chutes hold each soffit bay open, and only then does new insulation go down: blown in across an open ranch or Cape Cod floor, or laid as batts where a lagoon cottage's knee walls and tight framing make loose fill hard to keep in place. Where the existing material is soaked from a storm, matted with salt-air humidity, or a squirrel or mouse has denned in it, that batch comes out under vacuum before anything new goes down.
What follows is a free, written recommendation covering what we found, what we suggest for that specific attic, and why. A Herbertsville ranch attic and a Baywood cottage attic rarely call for the identical plan, and matching the work to the attic in front of us, not a one-size package, is what decides the recommendation we bring back.
What We Install in Brick Attics
Six ways a Brick, NJ attic gets brought up to today's standard, and every one starts with a free walkthrough.
What We Find in Brick Attics
The four conditions that show up most often when we open a Brick, NJ attic.
Ranches and Capes that filled in Herbertsville, Lake Riviera and Laurelton across the back half of the twentieth century were finished to depths well under what current guidance expects, and most haven't been topped up since.
Along the Shore, winter rarely stays below freezing for long, and each thaw sends heat from an unsealed attic floor up into the snowpack on the roof. That meltwater runs down to the cold overhang and turns back to ice before it can drain, backing water up under the shingles.
Wooded lots around Herbertsville and Lake Riviera put squirrels and raccoons on the roofline, and the aging soffit boards on Baywood and Cherry Quay's older cottages give mice the same easy way into that insulation before anyone upstairs notices.
A cottage framed on filled land near Baywood or Cherry Quay often has a shallower, more cramped attic than a mainland ranch, which changes how we stage hoses and set depth markers before blowing anything in.

We just had our attic insulation replaced, and the entire experience was pleasant from start to finish. Robert is knowledgeable, honest and easy to work with at the initial estimate period. Roberta and his crew did a great job replacing the attic insulation for our house. They were very professional, efficient and respectful. They did everything that needed to be done and left the space clean and in excellent condition. I am very happy that I chose Master Attic and would highly recommend them.
Dan Jones and the Ronald crew did a great job from start to finish! I had original insulation in my attic with no electricity, not an easy job. Our upstairs was very hot in the summer and cold in winter. With having central air, we still needed AC units and space heaters to manage. Dan set up a great plan to eliminate that. He and his crew were able to come and finish the job shortly after we first met. They were quick, clean and managed to crawl into small spaces to remove old insulation and install fresh insulation. We have already noticed a major difference! Highly recommended!!
We hired Master Attic to clean out debris, mice, old insulation, and replace with new insulation in both our attic spaces. Roberto and his crew did a phenomenal job. They were extremely professional, polite, and did a fantastic job. They invited my husband to see the attic after each step, and took pictures on their phone to show me since I could not get up in the attic. They took the time to protect the space with plastic sheeting before the job up in the attic, and then cleaned up everything perfectly afterwards. I highly recommend them!
Great job by the team. Cleaned out the entire attic and replaced all the old insulation with new fresh insulation. Made a huge difference. Alex was great to work with and was very professional. Would highly recommend.
Awesome experience from start to finish. Rob provided a great assessment and capabilities overview, arrived on time and was very generous and thorough in explaining the work. I signed on the spot. A crew of six arrived (again, on time) and completely transformed our attic space - thoroughly cleaned out the old insulation (looked spotless afterwards), sanitized the space, sealed it/rodent proofed it, added baffles and of course, replaced the insulation and added more in areas that needed it. Completed the whole job in half a day and we are delighted with the result. Thank you, Master Attic team, for a job very well done! Highest recommendation.
What a great experience I had with this company and its employees. It started with initially interacting with Joe who came out for the estimate. He was funny because he came down from my attic and said "have you seen up there". I laughed because I had and I knew it was bad. He was no pressure and no nonsense. Gave me an estimate and said if I wanted we could have the work done next day. I wasn't ready for that but after some schedule juggling I told him we could be ready. Joe had his guys out next morning with the best part being Jorge calling me to advise he was about thirty minutes out. I appreciate when I am given a heads up as to ETA. Three of them arrived Jorge set out plastic and covered exposed furniture. Jorge, Angel and Gonzalo were all polite and worked hard to complete the task. They worked efficiently and were done quickly. Jorge made sure he included me in each step of the process and when I saw the finished product I was amazed. I can actually use my attic for storage if I choose to do so. I did not realize when they were here that they also do work on crawlspace areas. I will be calling them back to see what they can do for my crawlspace which easily rivals the diasaster called my attic. I recommend at least giving this company and its employees an opportunity to help you.
Great company to work with. From beginning to end, Dan came out, spent plenty of time with me going over everything that needed to be done, and the process of everything that needed to be updated it both attics. His professionalism was top notch, answered all my question and concerns. When it came time for George and his six-man crew to do the work their quality of workmanship was well above average, they were here the whole day, and I don't think they even had a lunch break (hopefully I don't get him in trouble). They all worked and everyone knew what their job was, they removed all the insulation, cleaned, spray foamed all holes and top plates, re-insulated both attics and cleaned up like they weren't even here. Will definitely use them again.
Master Attic remediated a bat issue for us back in October and I can’t say enough about what a wonderful job they did. The work was guaranteed and they encouraged us to call if we say any further evidence of bats. Well, there were a few droppings in the attic and they quickly responded to our concerns. Jose’s crew came out on a SUNDAY, inspected the attic, and sealed up several spots that could be entry points. They were professional, efficient, and kind. I would highly recommend them. You will not be disappointed.
Attic Insulation in Brick: Questions We Get
What's involved in an attic insulation job for a typical Brick house?
It starts with an inspection of what's already up there and where air is escaping, whether the attic sits over a Parkway-boom ranch in Herbertsville or a cottage on the lagoon side in Baywood. From there we seal the leak points, set baffles at the soffits, and add blown-in or batt insulation depending on how the attic is framed. Everything gets written into a single estimate before work begins.
Can new insulation just go over what's already in a Brick attic?
In a lot of cases, yes, provided the existing material is dry and free of contamination. What forces a full pull-out first is water damage from a storm, evidence that squirrels or mice have been nesting in it, which shows up often enough on Brick's wooded lots and older cottages, or insulation piled high enough to hide the plumbing stacks and can lights that still need sealing.
Are there insulation rebates available in Brick?
JCP&L serves this part of Ocean County, and insulation upgrades here have drawn support from state clean-energy funding in past years, though exactly what's on offer moves around from one budget cycle to the next. We check current listings ourselves and mention anything relevant during your free estimate.
Do lagoon cottage attics near the bay need anything different?
Often, yes. A cottage built on filled land in Baywood or Cherry Quay tends to have a shallower attic and more humid air working through the roofline than a mainland ranch, so ventilation and moisture get extra attention during the inspection alongside the insulation itself.
Blown-in or batts, which is right for a Brick attic?
For an open ranch or Cape Cod attic around Herbertsville or Laurelton, blown-in usually wins simply because it molds itself into odd bays without any extra cutting. Baywood and Cherry Quay's older lagoon cottages, with their knee walls and tighter framing, often do better with batts instead. Plenty of Brick attics end up needing both, which the walk-through settles.
What's a realistic timeframe for attic insulation work in Brick?
It depends on the attic. A single-story ranch with open access moves faster than a tight lagoon cottage attic with knee walls to work around, and pulling out old, contaminated material adds time on top of either. We'll lay out realistic timing once we've seen the attic, and it's included in your estimate before any work is scheduled.
Which towns near Brick do you cover for attic insulation?
We're in Ocean County every day, not just Brick: Toms River and Lakewood border Brick on two sides, and the same crew covers Point Pleasant, Point Pleasant Beach, Mantoloking and Wall Township too. The mix of ranch, Cape Cod and lagoon cottage attics we see in Brick shows up across all of them.
My house in Brick was only built a few years ago. Does the attic still need a look?
It's worth checking regardless of age. Builders commonly leave gaps around can lights, duct chases and the attic hatch no matter the decade, and those gaps cost comfort whether the framing is fifty years old or five. Whether a specific attic already meets today's guidance or falls short of it only becomes clear once we're actually up there measuring.
