Master Attic did a phenomenal job with our attic insulation and duct replacement. We had a loss from smoke damage from a neighboring fire and we were met with compassion and excellent customer service from Danny Jones and Jorge Diaz. We chose them for their quality of work, expertise and fair pricing and they got the job done promptly. Thank you for the excellent work and we will be recommending you highly!

How We Rodent Proof Jackson Attics & Crawl Spaces
Rodent proofing in Jackson, New Jersey starts with a walk of the whole exterior, roofline included, because squirrels, raccoons, bats and mice are all looking for the same kind of opening: a soffit that has pulled away from the fascia, a gable vent with a bent screen, a foundation vent missing its cover, or a crawl door that never sat flush. Whatever is already living in the attic or crawl space gets identified before anything gets sealed shut behind it.
Once every opening is mapped, we close it. Small gaps get professional-grade spray foam; larger openings get heavy steel mesh fastened over the vent or gap so it cannot be pushed through or chewed open again. Anything that nested in the insulation, whether that is a litter of mice in the attic floor or a raccoon's bedding against the crawl space wall, comes out, and the contaminated material is removed and the area sanitized before the last opening closes.
Jackson's wooded lots put the township closer to Pine Barrens wildlife than most of Ocean County, so the inspection usually covers both spaces on one visit, the attic where squirrels and bats get in at the roofline, and the crawl space where mice and the occasional raccoon come in low. There is no charge for the walk-through, and it comes back in writing with what was found, what needs sealing, and what needs to come out.
What Rodent Proofing in Jackson Includes
Six related calls that come up once wildlife has been in a Jackson attic or crawl space, every one starting with the same free inspection.
What We Find in Jackson Attics & Crawl Spaces
The four conditions that let wildlife into a Jackson attic or crawl space in the first place.
Jackson's wooded acreage toward Prospertown, Harmony and the county's undeveloped tracts sits closer to real Pine Barrens habitat than most of Ocean County, so squirrels, raccoons and bats test attic rooflines here more often than in towns closer to the coast, and every one of them is looking for the same kind of gap.
Soffit vents and gable screens installed decades ago in the older sections around Cassville and Whitesville have had time to loosen, warp or pull away from the fascia, and a gap that size is wide enough for a mouse or a squirrel to squeeze through without any visible damage from the ground.
A humid crawl space draws mice and, on occasion, a raccoon looking for a quiet den, and much of Jackson stays damper underfoot than the rest of Ocean County thanks to a shallow water table, which is exactly the kind of space wildlife looks to nest in undisturbed.
Jackson was built out in stages, from rural farmhouses through the subdivision boom of the 1970s and 80s to colonials going up today, and each era sealed its rooflines differently, so the gap we are chasing in an older house is rarely in the same place as the one in a newer build.

We just had our attic insulation replaced, and the entire experience was pleasant from start to finish. Robert is knowledgeable, honest and easy to work with at the initial estimate period. Roberta and his crew did a great job replacing the attic insulation for our house. They were very professional, efficient and respectful. They did everything that needed to be done and left the space clean and in excellent condition. I am very happy that I chose Master Attic and would highly recommend them.
Dan Jones and the Ronald crew did a great job from start to finish! I had original insulation in my attic with no electricity, not an easy job. Our upstairs was very hot in the summer and cold in winter. With having central air, we still needed AC units and space heaters to manage. Dan set up a great plan to eliminate that. He and his crew were able to come and finish the job shortly after we first met. They were quick, clean and managed to crawl into small spaces to remove old insulation and install fresh insulation. We have already noticed a major difference! Highly recommended!!
We hired Master Attic to clean out debris, mice, old insulation, and replace with new insulation in both our attic spaces. Roberto and his crew did a phenomenal job. They were extremely professional, polite, and did a fantastic job. They invited my husband to see the attic after each step, and took pictures on their phone to show me since I could not get up in the attic. They took the time to protect the space with plastic sheeting before the job up in the attic, and then cleaned up everything perfectly afterwards. I highly recommend them!
Great job by the team. Cleaned out the entire attic and replaced all the old insulation with new fresh insulation. Made a huge difference. Alex was great to work with and was very professional. Would highly recommend.
Awesome experience from start to finish. Rob provided a great assessment and capabilities overview, arrived on time and was very generous and thorough in explaining the work. I signed on the spot. A crew of six arrived (again, on time) and completely transformed our attic space - thoroughly cleaned out the old insulation (looked spotless afterwards), sanitized the space, sealed it/rodent proofed it, added baffles and of course, replaced the insulation and added more in areas that needed it. Completed the whole job in half a day and we are delighted with the result. Thank you, Master Attic team, for a job very well done! Highest recommendation.
What a great experience I had with this company and its employees. It started with initially interacting with Joe who came out for the estimate. He was funny because he came down from my attic and said "have you seen up there". I laughed because I had and I knew it was bad. He was no pressure and no nonsense. Gave me an estimate and said if I wanted we could have the work done next day. I wasn't ready for that but after some schedule juggling I told him we could be ready. Joe had his guys out next morning with the best part being Jorge calling me to advise he was about thirty minutes out. I appreciate when I am given a heads up as to ETA. Three of them arrived Jorge set out plastic and covered exposed furniture. Jorge, Angel and Gonzalo were all polite and worked hard to complete the task. They worked efficiently and were done quickly. Jorge made sure he included me in each step of the process and when I saw the finished product I was amazed. I can actually use my attic for storage if I choose to do so. I did not realize when they were here that they also do work on crawlspace areas. I will be calling them back to see what they can do for my crawlspace which easily rivals the diasaster called my attic. I recommend at least giving this company and its employees an opportunity to help you.
Great company to work with. From beginning to end, Dan came out, spent plenty of time with me going over everything that needed to be done, and the process of everything that needed to be updated it both attics. His professionalism was top notch, answered all my question and concerns. When it came time for George and his six-man crew to do the work their quality of workmanship was well above average, they were here the whole day, and I don't think they even had a lunch break (hopefully I don't get him in trouble). They all worked and everyone knew what their job was, they removed all the insulation, cleaned, spray foamed all holes and top plates, re-insulated both attics and cleaned up like they weren't even here. Will definitely use them again.
Master Attic remediated a bat issue for us back in October and I can’t say enough about what a wonderful job they did. The work was guaranteed and they encouraged us to call if we say any further evidence of bats. Well, there were a few droppings in the attic and they quickly responded to our concerns. Jose’s crew came out on a SUNDAY, inspected the attic, and sealed up several spots that could be entry points. They were professional, efficient, and kind. I would highly recommend them. You will not be disappointed.
Rodent Proofing in Jackson: Questions We Get
What does rodent proofing actually involve for a Jackson attic or crawl space?
It starts with an inspection of the roofline, soffits, foundation vents and any crawl doors to find every point wildlife is using to get in. Anything already inside, nests, droppings, a bat colony, gets removed, the space is sanitized, and every opening we found gets sealed with foam or steel mesh so it cannot reopen.
What is the typical timeframe for a rodent proofing visit in Jackson?
It depends on how many openings there are and whether anything nested inside needs to be removed and cleaned up first. A house with one loose vent is a shorter visit than an attic with an active squirrel population and contaminated insulation. The schedule depends on what the inspection turns up, and you will have it in hand before the crew starts.
Does rodent proofing in Jackson qualify for any New Jersey energy incentives?
Rodent proofing on its own usually is not what an incentive program targets directly, but Jackson is JCP&L territory, and when proofing is paired with insulation work, that part of the job can sometimes qualify under the NJ Clean Energy Program. Ask us at your estimate exactly what applies to your project right now.
My Jackson house is fairly new. Why would wildlife already be getting in?
New construction gets sealed to code minimums, and a colonial built in the last few years can still have an unsealed gap around a roof vent or a chase that a contractor never finished. Age does not protect a roofline, only how carefully it was closed up, which is why we check new builds the same as older ones.
What tells you a gap needs sealing instead of being left alone?
We start at the roofline and work the full exterior, because that is where most Jackson entries begin, then move to foundation vents and crawl doors, checking for anything separated, corroded or missing a cover. Solid material gets left alone. The goal is closing what is actually open, not adding material where it is not needed.
After rodent proofing, does the attic insulation always need to be swapped out?
Only where wildlife actually nested in it. Insulation that is dry and untouched can usually stay, but anything soiled or torn apart from nesting gets removed before the openings are sealed, since sealing over contaminated material just traps the problem inside. That distinction gets made on site, not guessed at over the phone.
Which towns near Jackson do you handle rodent proofing calls in?
All of Ocean County is in reach, plus a stretch of Monmouth County right across Jackson's border. Lakewood, Manchester and Toms River are the closest Ocean County calls, and Freehold Township and Howell pick up on the Monmouth side. Jackson alone is the largest township in the county, so crews already spend plenty of time out this way.
What happens if wildlife gets back in after the openings are sealed?
That is uncommon once every gap is actually closed, but if something new shows up, whether it is a fresh opening from storm damage or a spot that got missed, call and we will come back and address it. The goal of proofing a Jackson attic or crawl space is a one-time job, not a service you renew every year.
