Master Attic did a phenomenal job with our attic insulation and duct replacement. We had a loss from smoke damage from a neighboring fire and we were met with compassion and excellent customer service from Danny Jones and Jorge Diaz. We chose them for their quality of work, expertise and fair pricing and they got the job done promptly. Thank you for the excellent work and we will be recommending you highly!

Rodent & Wildlife Exclusion for Cherry Hill Attics & Crawl Spaces
Master Attic excludes squirrels, raccoons, mice and bats from attics and crawl spaces: finding every gap they are using, sealing it, and removing what they leave behind. In Cherry Hill that means two very different entry points on the same house. Above, mature trees in neighborhoods like Erlton and Colwick put wildlife directly on the roofline, where aging soffits and fascia gaps give them a way into the attic. Below, foundation vents and loose crawl doors let mice and the occasional larger animal into the vented crawl spaces common under the town's older split-levels and ranches.
The approach depends on what is already living there. Where removal has to happen, it is done humanely, through one-way devices that let an animal leave and not return, rather than bait or poison. Once the space is confirmed clear, every opening being used gets closed for good, cutting off any way back in before we move on to anything else. Only then do we deal with what the animals left: insulation flattened and soiled by nesting, droppings along the joists, and gnaw marks that show where they were getting in and out. Contaminated insulation comes out and the attic or crawl space is sanitized before any new material goes down.
Every visit ends with a free, written estimate that can cover both spaces at once if you need it to. It tells you exactly where the entry points are, what needs to come out, and what properly sealing the house involves, so nothing is guessed at and nothing gets left half finished.

What We Find in Cherry Hill Attics & Crawl Spaces
Four patterns behind most of the wildlife calls we get in Cherry Hill, NJ.
Mature trees in neighborhoods like Erlton and Colwick put squirrels and raccoons directly on the roof, and decades-old soffit and fascia gaps give them a way into the attic. It is the entry point we check first on almost every call in town.
Wildlife flattens and fouls whatever insulation is closest to where it nests, so once the opening above or below it is closed for good, that material comes out and the spot gets sanitized ahead of anything new going back in. We find this in Cherry Hill split-levels and colonials alike, regardless of the house's age.
Vented crawl spaces common under Cherry Hill's older ranches and split-levels give mice a way in through the vents themselves or a gap around a loose crawl door, especially once summer humidity has softened the wood framing it around.
A crawl space entry is often the smallest opening on the house, which makes sealing it properly, and reaching every corner behind it, slower than working in an open attic. We plan for that during the walk-through, not after arriving.

We just had our attic insulation replaced, and the entire experience was pleasant from start to finish. Robert is knowledgeable, honest and easy to work with at the initial estimate period. Roberta and his crew did a great job replacing the attic insulation for our house. They were very professional, efficient and respectful. They did everything that needed to be done and left the space clean and in excellent condition. I am very happy that I chose Master Attic and would highly recommend them.
Dan Jones and the Ronald crew did a great job from start to finish! I had original insulation in my attic with no electricity, not an easy job. Our upstairs was very hot in the summer and cold in winter. With having central air, we still needed AC units and space heaters to manage. Dan set up a great plan to eliminate that. He and his crew were able to come and finish the job shortly after we first met. They were quick, clean and managed to crawl into small spaces to remove old insulation and install fresh insulation. We have already noticed a major difference! Highly recommended!!
We hired Master Attic to clean out debris, mice, old insulation, and replace with new insulation in both our attic spaces. Roberto and his crew did a phenomenal job. They were extremely professional, polite, and did a fantastic job. They invited my husband to see the attic after each step, and took pictures on their phone to show me since I could not get up in the attic. They took the time to protect the space with plastic sheeting before the job up in the attic, and then cleaned up everything perfectly afterwards. I highly recommend them!
Great job by the team. Cleaned out the entire attic and replaced all the old insulation with new fresh insulation. Made a huge difference. Alex was great to work with and was very professional. Would highly recommend.
Awesome experience from start to finish. Rob provided a great assessment and capabilities overview, arrived on time and was very generous and thorough in explaining the work. I signed on the spot. A crew of six arrived (again, on time) and completely transformed our attic space - thoroughly cleaned out the old insulation (looked spotless afterwards), sanitized the space, sealed it/rodent proofed it, added baffles and of course, replaced the insulation and added more in areas that needed it. Completed the whole job in half a day and we are delighted with the result. Thank you, Master Attic team, for a job very well done! Highest recommendation.
What a great experience I had with this company and its employees. It started with initially interacting with Joe who came out for the estimate. He was funny because he came down from my attic and said "have you seen up there". I laughed because I had and I knew it was bad. He was no pressure and no nonsense. Gave me an estimate and said if I wanted we could have the work done next day. I wasn't ready for that but after some schedule juggling I told him we could be ready. Joe had his guys out next morning with the best part being Jorge calling me to advise he was about thirty minutes out. I appreciate when I am given a heads up as to ETA. Three of them arrived Jorge set out plastic and covered exposed furniture. Jorge, Angel and Gonzalo were all polite and worked hard to complete the task. They worked efficiently and were done quickly. Jorge made sure he included me in each step of the process and when I saw the finished product I was amazed. I can actually use my attic for storage if I choose to do so. I did not realize when they were here that they also do work on crawlspace areas. I will be calling them back to see what they can do for my crawlspace which easily rivals the diasaster called my attic. I recommend at least giving this company and its employees an opportunity to help you.
Great company to work with. From beginning to end, Dan came out, spent plenty of time with me going over everything that needed to be done, and the process of everything that needed to be updated it both attics. His professionalism was top notch, answered all my question and concerns. When it came time for George and his six-man crew to do the work their quality of workmanship was well above average, they were here the whole day, and I don't think they even had a lunch break (hopefully I don't get him in trouble). They all worked and everyone knew what their job was, they removed all the insulation, cleaned, spray foamed all holes and top plates, re-insulated both attics and cleaned up like they weren't even here. Will definitely use them again.
Master Attic remediated a bat issue for us back in October and I can’t say enough about what a wonderful job they did. The work was guaranteed and they encouraged us to call if we say any further evidence of bats. Well, there were a few droppings in the attic and they quickly responded to our concerns. Jose’s crew came out on a SUNDAY, inspected the attic, and sealed up several spots that could be entry points. They were professional, efficient, and kind. I would highly recommend them. You will not be disappointed.
Rodent Proofing in Cherry Hill: Questions We Get
How do you rodent proof an attic in Cherry Hill without putting down poison?
We find every opening being used, at the roofline, soffits and any gap around vents or utility lines, and close it. Where an animal is still inside, it is removed humanely, through a one-way device where that will do the job, rather than baited or poisoned, then the opening is sealed once we know it is empty. That combination is what actually keeps wildlife out, not the removal on its own.
How long does rodent proofing take in a Cherry Hill attic?
Sealing a handful of roofline gaps on a Cherry Hill colonial is usually a quick visit. Add in insulation contaminated by nesting, or a torn soffit that takes more material and time to close off properly, and it stretches longer. Structural repair behind that opening is work you would bring a carpenter in for, not something our exclusion crews take on. Either way, what your specific job needs gets written into the estimate before work starts.
Are there New Jersey incentives that cover rodent proofing?
Exclusion itself is not typically what utility programs fund, but the insulation replacement that often follows it can be. Cherry Hill sits in PSE&G territory, and current NJ Clean Energy Program offerings are worth checking before your project starts. Ask us during the estimate and we can point you to what currently qualifies.
Do you handle rodent proofing for a crawl space the same way as an attic?
The entry points are different, roofline gaps above versus vents and crawl doors at the ground, but the approach is the same: find where they are getting in, remove what needs removing, seal it, and clean up what was left behind. Many Cherry Hill houses need both looked at together.
What does the inspection check before you quote rodent proofing in Cherry Hill?
We walk the roofline for gaps and soffit damage, check the crawl space vents and door seals, and look at the condition of the insulation. What comes back tells us whether this is exclusion alone or exclusion plus insulation removal and sanitizing. That walk-through is what the written estimate is based on, not a phone description of the problem.
Does the insulation need to be replaced after rodent proofing?
Only where it was actually in the wildlife's path. Insulation the animals never reached usually stays. Insulation they nested in or fouled comes out, because it holds the smell and the contamination long after the entry point is sealed, and new material goes back in over a clean, sealed space.
Do you cover the towns around Cherry Hill for wildlife calls too?
Camden County top to bottom, plus the neighboring towns: Haddonfield, Voorhees, Marlton, Moorestown and the rest of South Jersey. Wildlife does not stop at a town line, so if squirrels, raccoons or mice have found a way into an attic or crawl space near Cherry Hill, we cover it.
Is exclusion safe if we have pets or kids in the house?
Yes. Exclusion is about sealing openings and removing animals humanely, not chemical baiting or poison, so there is nothing toxic set out inside or around the house. The materials used to seal gaps and sanitize the space are standard building materials, not pest treatments. If sanitizing is needed after a wildlife problem, we tell you when it is safe to be back in the attic or crawl space.
