Master Attic did a phenomenal job with our attic insulation and duct replacement. We had a loss from smoke damage from a neighboring fire and we were met with compassion and excellent customer service from Danny Jones and Jorge Diaz. We chose them for their quality of work, expertise and fair pricing and they got the job done promptly. Thank you for the excellent work and we will be recommending you highly!

How We Handle Raccoons in Medford Lakes Attics and Crawl Spaces
A raccoon reaches a Medford Lakes attic or crawl space by one of two routes: over the roofline from above, or underneath through the foundation. Master Attic starts every call by tracing the actual point of entry rather than guessing from wherever the noise seems loudest, since the fix above the ceiling looks nothing like the fix below the floor.
Overhead, oak and pine branches reaching close to the roofline on many lake lots give a raccoon a short climb onto the shingles, and a soft spot in decades-old cabin chinking is often the only opening it needs from there. A one-way door lets that animal leave under its own power while blocking the return trip, and the crew confirms the attic has emptied out before the gap is closed for good.
Underneath, the low pier-and-crawl foundations common to the borough's older cottages put ground-level vents and crawl doors within easy reach, and a cracked cover or loose door works just as well for a raccoon as a roofline gap does. We give the crawl space the same walk-through as the attic, then clean, sanitize and put right whatever the animal disturbed once we've confirmed it has moved on.
What Raccoon Removal in Medford Lakes Includes
Six related jobs that a Medford Lakes raccoon call tends to surface, each starting from the same walk-through of the attic and crawl space.
What We Find on Medford Lakes Raccoon Calls
Four patterns behind most of the raccoon appointments we run around the borough's lakes.
Oak and pine growth presses close to the rooflines on many lake lots, putting a raccoon within an easy reach of the shingles, and a weak point in an original cabin's chinking is usually enough of an opening from there.
A raccoon settling into an attic tears at whatever insulation is nearest to build its nest, and the waste that comes with a den site usually means that material is pulled out rather than left in place.
Cottages raised on pier or crawl foundations, common among the colony's older housing stock, put a vent cover or crawl door low enough for a raccoon to work loose from ground level, no climbing required.
Once Burlington County temperatures start dropping, a raccoon hunting for somewhere warm to den tests roofline gaps and crawl openings more aggressively than it does through the warmer months, which shows up directly in our fall and winter call volume.

We just had our attic insulation replaced, and the entire experience was pleasant from start to finish. Robert is knowledgeable, honest and easy to work with at the initial estimate period. Roberta and his crew did a great job replacing the attic insulation for our house. They were very professional, efficient and respectful. They did everything that needed to be done and left the space clean and in excellent condition. I am very happy that I chose Master Attic and would highly recommend them.
Dan Jones and the Ronald crew did a great job from start to finish! I had original insulation in my attic with no electricity, not an easy job. Our upstairs was very hot in the summer and cold in winter. With having central air, we still needed AC units and space heaters to manage. Dan set up a great plan to eliminate that. He and his crew were able to come and finish the job shortly after we first met. They were quick, clean and managed to crawl into small spaces to remove old insulation and install fresh insulation. We have already noticed a major difference! Highly recommended!!
We hired Master Attic to clean out debris, mice, old insulation, and replace with new insulation in both our attic spaces. Roberto and his crew did a phenomenal job. They were extremely professional, polite, and did a fantastic job. They invited my husband to see the attic after each step, and took pictures on their phone to show me since I could not get up in the attic. They took the time to protect the space with plastic sheeting before the job up in the attic, and then cleaned up everything perfectly afterwards. I highly recommend them!
Great job by the team. Cleaned out the entire attic and replaced all the old insulation with new fresh insulation. Made a huge difference. Alex was great to work with and was very professional. Would highly recommend.
Awesome experience from start to finish. Rob provided a great assessment and capabilities overview, arrived on time and was very generous and thorough in explaining the work. I signed on the spot. A crew of six arrived (again, on time) and completely transformed our attic space - thoroughly cleaned out the old insulation (looked spotless afterwards), sanitized the space, sealed it/rodent proofed it, added baffles and of course, replaced the insulation and added more in areas that needed it. Completed the whole job in half a day and we are delighted with the result. Thank you, Master Attic team, for a job very well done! Highest recommendation.
What a great experience I had with this company and its employees. It started with initially interacting with Joe who came out for the estimate. He was funny because he came down from my attic and said "have you seen up there". I laughed because I had and I knew it was bad. He was no pressure and no nonsense. Gave me an estimate and said if I wanted we could have the work done next day. I wasn't ready for that but after some schedule juggling I told him we could be ready. Joe had his guys out next morning with the best part being Jorge calling me to advise he was about thirty minutes out. I appreciate when I am given a heads up as to ETA. Three of them arrived Jorge set out plastic and covered exposed furniture. Jorge, Angel and Gonzalo were all polite and worked hard to complete the task. They worked efficiently and were done quickly. Jorge made sure he included me in each step of the process and when I saw the finished product I was amazed. I can actually use my attic for storage if I choose to do so. I did not realize when they were here that they also do work on crawlspace areas. I will be calling them back to see what they can do for my crawlspace which easily rivals the diasaster called my attic. I recommend at least giving this company and its employees an opportunity to help you.
Great company to work with. From beginning to end, Dan came out, spent plenty of time with me going over everything that needed to be done, and the process of everything that needed to be updated it both attics. His professionalism was top notch, answered all my question and concerns. When it came time for George and his six-man crew to do the work their quality of workmanship was well above average, they were here the whole day, and I don't think they even had a lunch break (hopefully I don't get him in trouble). They all worked and everyone knew what their job was, they removed all the insulation, cleaned, spray foamed all holes and top plates, re-insulated both attics and cleaned up like they weren't even here. Will definitely use them again.
Master Attic remediated a bat issue for us back in October and I can’t say enough about what a wonderful job they did. The work was guaranteed and they encouraged us to call if we say any further evidence of bats. Well, there were a few droppings in the attic and they quickly responded to our concerns. Jose’s crew came out on a SUNDAY, inspected the attic, and sealed up several spots that could be entry points. They were professional, efficient, and kind. I would highly recommend them. You will not be disappointed.
Raccoon Removal in Medford Lakes: Questions We Get
What tells you it was a raccoon and not something smaller in my attic?
Weight and volume are the giveaways: raccoon movement sounds like heavy thumping or rolling rather than quick scurrying, and it's usually loudest right around dusk. The droppings run larger too, and tend to pile up in one spot the animal keeps reusing. When a homeowner isn't certain, we confirm the species during the inspection before recommending anything.
What determines how quickly a raccoon job in Medford Lakes wraps up?
Mostly whether young are involved and how many separate openings the animal is using. One adult using a single opening wraps up faster than a den with kits or several access spots, since the one-way door or trap has to stay in place until the space checks out empty. We map out the actual timeline once the inspection tells us what we're dealing with.
Could New Jersey energy programs offset the cost of insulation a raccoon ruined?
The removal work itself falls outside what those programs fund, but the insulation portion, if a raccoon tore up or fouled material that then needs replacing, sometimes lines up with PSE&G or statewide efficiency incentives. We check what's currently active when we price out that part of the job.
My attic has a raccoon with a litter, does that change how you handle it?
Yes, significantly. Kits typically can't leave a den on their own until they're several weeks old, so an exclusion device installed too soon risks locking a mother out and away from young that then can't survive without her. We look for signs of a litter first and time the approach around that before doing anything else.
How do you remove a raccoon without hurting it or leaving babies trapped inside?
We first pin down exactly where it comes and goes, then check for a den of young before choosing between a one-way door and humane trapping, since a door set too early can separate a mother from kits that cannot yet leave on their own. Whichever method fits the situation, the opening only gets closed permanently after we verify nothing remains inside.
Does clearing out a raccoon problem always come with cleanup afterward?
Almost always, since raccoons tend to leave behind more torn insulation and waste than other attic or crawl space wildlife. Sanitizing and swapping out ruined material typically follow right after the animal is confirmed gone, bundled into the same estimate as the exclusion itself rather than billed as a separate job.
How far from Medford Lakes does your raccoon coverage reach?
Medford Township, which rings the borough entirely, is regular territory for us, and so are Tabernacle, Southampton and the Marlton section of Evesham, all within Burlington County. Coverage stretches into Camden County as far as Cherry Hill too. A raccoon call anywhere in that footprint starts with a free estimate.
Do raccoons get into the crawl space here as often as the attic?
Close to it. Pier and crawl foundations are common on the borough's older cottages, putting ground-level vents and doors within easy reach, while dense lake-lot tree cover gives just as direct a path to the roofline above. We check both areas on every visit instead of assuming the animal only used one.
