Master Attic did a phenomenal job with our attic insulation and duct replacement. We had a loss from smoke damage from a neighboring fire and we were met with compassion and excellent customer service from Danny Jones and Jorge Diaz. We chose them for their quality of work, expertise and fair pricing and they got the job done promptly. Thank you for the excellent work and we will be recommending you highly!

How We Handle Raccoons in Cherry Hill Attics & Crawl Spaces
Raccoons reach a Cherry Hill attic or crawl space through two different routes. Above, the mature trees that line older streets like Erlton and Colwick, close to the Cooper River, put them within reach of the roof, where a gap at the soffit or a loose vent lets them onto the joists. Below, a vented crawl space with a damaged foundation vent or a gap under the skirting gives them ground-level access instead, more common in the split-levels and ranches built low to the grade.
The approach is humane removal followed by exclusion. We find the active entry point, confirm whether it is a mother with young before closing anything off, and install a one-way door so raccoons already inside can leave to feed but cannot get back in; where a one-way door will not do the job, the raccoon is removed by hand with humane trapping. After the attic or crawl space is confirmed empty, that opening gets sealed and the rest of the roofline or foundation gets checked for other weak points, since a raccoon rarely uses just one way in.
Whichever space was affected, what raccoons leave behind, torn insulation, droppings, urine, and sometimes damaged ductwork or wiring, has to come out, and the area gets sanitized ahead of any new material going down. We inspect both the attic and the crawl space on every estimate, since an entry point in one often means a vulnerability in the other, and the estimate for whichever work is needed is free and written.
What Raccoon Removal in Cherry Hill Includes
Raccoon work in Cherry Hill rarely stays contained to one service, whether the entry was up in the attic or down at the foundation. Every job we take on starts with a free inspection.
Where Cherry Hill Raccoons Get In
The two access routes and the conditions behind most of the raccoon calls we get in Cherry Hill.
The same tree cover that shades Erlton and Colwick near the Cooper River gives a raccoon a branch-to-roof path that squirrels use too, and on an older Cherry Hill colonial, an aging soffit board or a warped ridge cap is usually enough of a gap for one to squeeze onto the joists.
Ranch and split-level construction, the kind found in Wexford Leas and other older sections of town, sits closer to the ground, which here usually means a vented crawl space rather than a full basement. Foundation vent screens and skirting panels loosen with age, and a raccoon working at ground level only needs one of them to give way.
Colder months in Cherry Hill push raccoons to look for a warm, dry den, and an attic or crawl space with an existing gap becomes the obvious target. That seasonal push is when we see the most calls.
Torn and displaced insulation, droppings, and occasionally chewed wiring or ductwork are what a raccoon leaves behind wherever it denned, attic or crawl space alike, on top of whatever gap let it in. All of that factors into the estimate.

We just had our attic insulation replaced, and the entire experience was pleasant from start to finish. Robert is knowledgeable, honest and easy to work with at the initial estimate period. Roberta and his crew did a great job replacing the attic insulation for our house. They were very professional, efficient and respectful. They did everything that needed to be done and left the space clean and in excellent condition. I am very happy that I chose Master Attic and would highly recommend them.
Dan Jones and the Ronald crew did a great job from start to finish! I had original insulation in my attic with no electricity, not an easy job. Our upstairs was very hot in the summer and cold in winter. With having central air, we still needed AC units and space heaters to manage. Dan set up a great plan to eliminate that. He and his crew were able to come and finish the job shortly after we first met. They were quick, clean and managed to crawl into small spaces to remove old insulation and install fresh insulation. We have already noticed a major difference! Highly recommended!!
We hired Master Attic to clean out debris, mice, old insulation, and replace with new insulation in both our attic spaces. Roberto and his crew did a phenomenal job. They were extremely professional, polite, and did a fantastic job. They invited my husband to see the attic after each step, and took pictures on their phone to show me since I could not get up in the attic. They took the time to protect the space with plastic sheeting before the job up in the attic, and then cleaned up everything perfectly afterwards. I highly recommend them!
Great job by the team. Cleaned out the entire attic and replaced all the old insulation with new fresh insulation. Made a huge difference. Alex was great to work with and was very professional. Would highly recommend.
Awesome experience from start to finish. Rob provided a great assessment and capabilities overview, arrived on time and was very generous and thorough in explaining the work. I signed on the spot. A crew of six arrived (again, on time) and completely transformed our attic space - thoroughly cleaned out the old insulation (looked spotless afterwards), sanitized the space, sealed it/rodent proofed it, added baffles and of course, replaced the insulation and added more in areas that needed it. Completed the whole job in half a day and we are delighted with the result. Thank you, Master Attic team, for a job very well done! Highest recommendation.
What a great experience I had with this company and its employees. It started with initially interacting with Joe who came out for the estimate. He was funny because he came down from my attic and said "have you seen up there". I laughed because I had and I knew it was bad. He was no pressure and no nonsense. Gave me an estimate and said if I wanted we could have the work done next day. I wasn't ready for that but after some schedule juggling I told him we could be ready. Joe had his guys out next morning with the best part being Jorge calling me to advise he was about thirty minutes out. I appreciate when I am given a heads up as to ETA. Three of them arrived Jorge set out plastic and covered exposed furniture. Jorge, Angel and Gonzalo were all polite and worked hard to complete the task. They worked efficiently and were done quickly. Jorge made sure he included me in each step of the process and when I saw the finished product I was amazed. I can actually use my attic for storage if I choose to do so. I did not realize when they were here that they also do work on crawlspace areas. I will be calling them back to see what they can do for my crawlspace which easily rivals the diasaster called my attic. I recommend at least giving this company and its employees an opportunity to help you.
Great company to work with. From beginning to end, Dan came out, spent plenty of time with me going over everything that needed to be done, and the process of everything that needed to be updated it both attics. His professionalism was top notch, answered all my question and concerns. When it came time for George and his six-man crew to do the work their quality of workmanship was well above average, they were here the whole day, and I don't think they even had a lunch break (hopefully I don't get him in trouble). They all worked and everyone knew what their job was, they removed all the insulation, cleaned, spray foamed all holes and top plates, re-insulated both attics and cleaned up like they weren't even here. Will definitely use them again.
Master Attic remediated a bat issue for us back in October and I can’t say enough about what a wonderful job they did. The work was guaranteed and they encouraged us to call if we say any further evidence of bats. Well, there were a few droppings in the attic and they quickly responded to our concerns. Jose’s crew came out on a SUNDAY, inspected the attic, and sealed up several spots that could be entry points. They were professional, efficient, and kind. I would highly recommend them. You will not be disappointed.
Raccoon Removal in Cherry Hill: Questions We Get
How do I know if it is a raccoon and not a squirrel in my Cherry Hill attic?
Raccoons are heavier and louder, so the movement overhead sounds like a much bigger animal walking rather than scurrying, usually at dawn and dusk. Droppings are larger too, and a raccoon den often leaves flattened insulation in one spot rather than the scattered shredding squirrels leave behind. The size of the entry point can be a clue as well, since raccoons need a wider gap to fit through.
How long does raccoon removal typically take once the crew is on site in Cherry Hill?
It depends on what we find. A single adult with one clear entry point moves through the process fairly quickly, while a mother with young takes longer, since we wait until the young are mobile before excluding the family. Real timing only comes after an inspection, and that number is what lands in your written estimate.
Do New Jersey energy incentives cover raccoon removal work in Cherry Hill?
Not directly. Wildlife exclusion itself falls outside what utility and state clean energy incentives are built for, though the insulation replacement that often follows a raccoon job can qualify. Ask us during the estimate which parts of your project might be covered.
Can a raccoon get into the crawl space if the vents look intact?
Yes. Vent covers loosen at the screws over time, skirting settles away from the foundation, and a raccoon only needs a gap wide enough to push through, not an obviously broken vent. Checking every vent and seam by hand during the inspection is the only reliable way to find it.
How do you get a raccoon out of an attic or crawl space?
We confirm the entry point first and check for a mother with young before doing anything else. A one-way door lets any raccoon already inside come and go to feed while blocking the way back in, and once we are sure the space is empty, that opening gets closed for good. Where a raccoon will not leave on its own, or a litter has to come out with its mother, we remove them by hand with humane trapping. No poison, no bait.
Does the crawl space need to be checked too if I only heard noise in the attic?
Both access points sit on the same building, so a raccoon working the roofline may also have tested the crawl space vents or skirting nearby. We check both spaces on every estimate for that reason, especially where the attic and the crawl space are original to the same postwar build.
Do you cover raccoon calls in the towns around Cherry Hill too?
Yes, all of Camden County. Haddonfield, Voorhees, Marlton and Moorestown border Cherry Hill directly, and Medford Lakes and Glassboro sit a short drive further out still. The tree cover and crawl space construction behind most of our Cherry Hill calls are just as common across all of these towns as well.
Should I be worried about a raccoon denning in the attic right above the bedrooms?
Raccoons can be aggressive if they feel cornered and may carry disease, so keeping distance rather than approaching one is the safer choice. The bigger everyday risk is what they leave behind: droppings and urine in the insulation and the chewed wiring or ductwork that sometimes comes with a den. That is why we treat the animal and the cleanup as one job.
