Master Attic did a phenomenal job with our attic insulation and duct replacement. We had a loss from smoke damage from a neighboring fire and we were met with compassion and excellent customer service from Danny Jones and Jorge Diaz. We chose them for their quality of work, expertise and fair pricing and they got the job done promptly. Thank you for the excellent work and we will be recommending you highly!

Attic Services
The ranch and split-level attics in Browntown, Madison Park and Parlin mostly date to the township's boom decades, and what passed for full insulation then reads as a starter layer against what attics are asked to hold now. Closing the air leaks at the top plates and chimney chases comes first, then new insulation goes in over what's left of the old batts.

Squirrels chew wiring and tear up insulation once they get into an attic. We remove them and close the entry points.
Squirrel Removal →A raccoon can wreck attic insulation and ductwork in weeks and leave dangerous droppings behind. Safe removal plus repair of the damage.
Raccoon Removal →Bats roost in quiet attic corners and their droppings contaminate everything below. Humane exclusion plus full cleanup.
Bat Removal →Mice squeeze in through gaps the width of a pencil, nest in the insulation and leave droppings across the attic floor. Removal, then sealing the gaps so they stay out.
Attic Mice Removal →Wildlife tears openings where the roof meets the walls, and every gap is an open door. We seal the entry points and repair the damage.
Rodent Proofing →Thin, patchy insulation lets heated and cooled air escape into the attic all year. Upgrading it cuts energy bills.
Attic Insulation →Moisture in the crawl space feeds mold and rots the framing under your floor. Encapsulation seals out the damp ground air.
Crawl Space Encapsulation →New batts fill every joist bay edge to edge, so heated and cooled air stays in the rooms below instead of bleeding into the attic. Lower bills, even temperatures.
Attic Insulation →A vented ridge lets hot, moist air escape at the peak while baffles keep the soffit intake open. Balanced airflow protects the roof deck and keeps the new insulation dry.
Attic Ventilation →The roofline gap the wildlife used is sealed with rodent-proof mesh and sealant, along with every other opening we found. Nothing gets back in.
Rodent Proofing →Droppings, nesting debris and the contaminated insulation are gone, and the framing is treated so odors and bacteria do not linger in the air you breathe.
Attic Cleanup →A sealed vapor barrier covers the ground and walls, so damp soil air can no longer feed mold or rot the floor framing above it.
Crawl Space Encapsulation →What is going wrong here
- Thin, patchy attic insulation lets heated and cooled air leak up into the attic, and the energy bill pays for every bit of it.
- Warm air pours out through the roofline gap and the ridge instead of staying where it belongs.
- Squirrels, raccoons, bats and mice have moved in; droppings and nesting cover the attic floor.
- Damp ground air rises through the crawl space and feeds mold under the floor.
What changed
- Full-depth insulation keeps conditioned air in the living space where it belongs.
- Warm attic air stays upstairs and vents out at the ridge the way it should.
- Every entry point is sealed and the attic is cleaned and sanitized; nothing lives up there but insulation.
- The crawl space is sealed and dry, so ground moisture stays in the ground.
Built Around Old Bridge Attics & Crawl Spaces
Old Bridge was still called Madison Township when its population jumped from about 7,300 in 1950 to nearly 49,000 by 1970, and most of the ranch and split-level houses that filled in Browntown, Madison Park and Parlin during that stretch were built to the insulation codes of their decade, well short of the depth current guidance calls for now.
Old Bridge's population grew almost sevenfold between 1950 and 1970, and most attics from that era still run well under what today's standard asks for.
Laurence Harbor's bungalow-lot houses sit close to Raritan Bay, where salt-laden humidity works into crawl spaces year-round and leaves insulation damp and compressed along the joists below.
Cheesequake State Park's 1,610 wooded acres put raccoons and squirrels right along the tree line, and aging soffits on nearby split-levels let them climb straight onto the roof deck.
Coastal storms track up Raritan Bay and drop wet, heavy snow across the township, and an attic leaking warm air melts that snow into ice dams along the eaves.

We just had our attic insulation replaced, and the entire experience was pleasant from start to finish. Robert is knowledgeable, honest and easy to work with at the initial estimate period. Roberta and his crew did a great job replacing the attic insulation for our house. They were very professional, efficient and respectful. They did everything that needed to be done and left the space clean and in excellent condition. I am very happy that I chose Master Attic and would highly recommend them.
Dan Jones and the Ronald crew did a great job from start to finish! I had original insulation in my attic with no electricity, not an easy job. Our upstairs was very hot in the summer and cold in winter. With having central air, we still needed AC units and space heaters to manage. Dan set up a great plan to eliminate that. He and his crew were able to come and finish the job shortly after we first met. They were quick, clean and managed to crawl into small spaces to remove old insulation and install fresh insulation. We have already noticed a major difference! Highly recommended!!
We hired Master Attic to clean out debris, mice, old insulation, and replace with new insulation in both our attic spaces. Roberto and his crew did a phenomenal job. They were extremely professional, polite, and did a fantastic job. They invited my husband to see the attic after each step, and took pictures on their phone to show me since I could not get up in the attic. They took the time to protect the space with plastic sheeting before the job up in the attic, and then cleaned up everything perfectly afterwards. I highly recommend them!
Great job by the team. Cleaned out the entire attic and replaced all the old insulation with new fresh insulation. Made a huge difference. Alex was great to work with and was very professional. Would highly recommend.
Awesome experience from start to finish. Rob provided a great assessment and capabilities overview, arrived on time and was very generous and thorough in explaining the work. I signed on the spot. A crew of six arrived (again, on time) and completely transformed our attic space - thoroughly cleaned out the old insulation (looked spotless afterwards), sanitized the space, sealed it/rodent proofed it, added baffles and of course, replaced the insulation and added more in areas that needed it. Completed the whole job in half a day and we are delighted with the result. Thank you, Master Attic team, for a job very well done! Highest recommendation.
What a great experience I had with this company and its employees. It started with initially interacting with Joe who came out for the estimate. He was funny because he came down from my attic and said "have you seen up there". I laughed because I had and I knew it was bad. He was no pressure and no nonsense. Gave me an estimate and said if I wanted we could have the work done next day. I wasn't ready for that but after some schedule juggling I told him we could be ready. Joe had his guys out next morning with the best part being Jorge calling me to advise he was about thirty minutes out. I appreciate when I am given a heads up as to ETA. Three of them arrived Jorge set out plastic and covered exposed furniture. Jorge, Angel and Gonzalo were all polite and worked hard to complete the task. They worked efficiently and were done quickly. Jorge made sure he included me in each step of the process and when I saw the finished product I was amazed. I can actually use my attic for storage if I choose to do so. I did not realize when they were here that they also do work on crawlspace areas. I will be calling them back to see what they can do for my crawlspace which easily rivals the diasaster called my attic. I recommend at least giving this company and its employees an opportunity to help you.
Great company to work with. From beginning to end, Dan came out, spent plenty of time with me going over everything that needed to be done, and the process of everything that needed to be updated it both attics. His professionalism was top notch, answered all my question and concerns. When it came time for George and his six-man crew to do the work their quality of workmanship was well above average, they were here the whole day, and I don't think they even had a lunch break (hopefully I don't get him in trouble). They all worked and everyone knew what their job was, they removed all the insulation, cleaned, spray foamed all holes and top plates, re-insulated both attics and cleaned up like they weren't even here. Will definitely use them again.
Master Attic remediated a bat issue for us back in October and I can’t say enough about what a wonderful job they did. The work was guaranteed and they encouraged us to call if we say any further evidence of bats. Well, there were a few droppings in the attic and they quickly responded to our concerns. Jose’s crew came out on a SUNDAY, inspected the attic, and sealed up several spots that could be entry points. They were professional, efficient, and kind. I would highly recommend them. You will not be disappointed.

Frequently Asked Questions
What signs point to squirrels or raccoons in an Old Bridge attic?
Scratching sounds at dawn or dusk, droppings scattered along the joists, shredded insulation balled into a nest, and chewed wiring are the usual signs. Sections near Cheesequake State Park's tree line see the most pressure, since raccoons and squirrels travel the woods right up to the roofline and push through gaps in fifty-year-old soffits and fascia boards.
How long does an attic or crawl space job take in an Old Bridge split-level?
A straightforward attic in a ranch or split-level built during the township's 1960s and 70s boom tends to move at a good pace once access is opened. Contaminated insulation removal, rodent sanitizing, or a crawl space vapor barrier each add their own time on top of that. The full timeline shows up in your written estimate before work begins.
Does the salt air near Laurence Harbor damage attic insulation and ductwork?
Yes. Homes close to Raritan Bay carry near-constant humidity and salt exposure, and that combination corrodes metal ductwork fasteners and speeds up wood rot faster than it would a few miles inland. Air sealing and balanced attic ventilation do double duty here, holding conditioned air in while keeping salty outside moisture from settling into the insulation.
What towns near Old Bridge does Master Attic serve?
We work throughout Middlesex County, including Sayreville and East Brunswick alongside Edison, and into the neighboring Monmouth County towns of Matawan, Aberdeen and Marlboro. Crews are in this stretch of central Jersey most weeks, attics and crawl spaces both.
How much attic insulation do Old Bridge houses actually need?
The current target for an unfinished attic in this part of New Jersey runs far deeper than what most attics like these were ever given. Most of the split-level and ranch attics we open here date to the township's 1960s and 70s building boom and are running at a fraction of that depth. We confirm the actual numbers during the free inspection.
What keeps crawl spaces so damp in Laurence Harbor and the rest of Old Bridge?
Laurence Harbor sits directly on Raritan Bay, and the shore humidity and salt-laden air that come with it reach straight into the older bungalow-lot crawl spaces there, keeping the framing damp long after summer ends. Inland split-level neighborhoods deal with a milder version of the same problem through vented crawl foundations. A sealed vapor barrier closes both off from that moisture.
Does PSE&G or New Jersey offer rebates for insulation upgrades in Old Bridge?
Old Bridge is PSE&G territory. The NJ Clean Energy Program has carried attic insulation and air sealing rebates in past cycles, and because the details shift, the best move is checking the current NJ Clean Energy Program listings and asking us what's active when we're out for your free estimate.
Do you work on the older bungalows in Laurence Harbor?
Yes. The older bungalow-lot houses near the bay usually carry shallow attics with minimal insulation and tight crawl spaces underneath, and both need the same air sealing and moisture work as a full-size colonial, just planned around less working room. We quote them the same way, with a free inspection first.
